Marie Copinet Argilla Villonissa Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature
100% Chardonnay
Planted and cultivated in the special terroir of Villenauxe-la-Grande.
Aged in clay eggs for 10 months
Dosage: 0g/l
The land in Villenauxe, whose soil is full of white clay, has been destined for winemaking for hundreds of years, but has also served as a source of clay for the art of pottery.
Domaine Copinet wanted to bring this special combination and the two traditions to life by making egg-shaped fermentation vessels out of clay from Villenauxe.
It was to symbolize the return for the Chardonnay wines from the village of Villenauxe to their origins.
Marie-Laure: "Unique, rare and individual, these cuvées embody the character and spirit of their origins."
Nicola OCT23: Stony character, special texture, mega strong, special, straightforward, yet aromatic, does something to you, benefits from early opening.
David Oct23: Both the presentation (decanted in clay - based on the clay eggs for aging and the terroir) and the champagne have a lot of character! lots of expression, great mouthfeel, super tension, great minerality and a super "salty" finish that leaves a lasting impression
