The Chardonnay grapes come from two Grand Cru terroirs: Le Mesnil and Oger. An ideal combination, according to the winemaker Pierre Amillet, because Le Mesnil is very firm and acidic, a little softer Oger. Tasting: Very fine character; light biscuit and delicate smokiness on the nose, lively and wonderfully fresh on the palate.

The base cuvee from the Moncuit domaine is produced using only wines from the Sézanne vineyard. The soils there, according to Nicole Moncuit, tend to be sandier with a higher chalk composition. 100% Chardonnay, Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru Dosage: 6g/l Nicola OCT23: Super smooth and delicate, nutty reverberation, balanced, clear, beautiful. Antonio Galloni Vintage NV – 90P: This is a terrific entry-level wine in this range. Orchard fruit, chamomile and dried flowers are all laced together in a vinous, creamy Champagne that is hugely appealing. There is lovely depth and texture here. Floral and tropical notes add an exotic flair on the close.

The added dosage in the Brut version versus the Extra Brut lends texture and resonance while enhancing all the orchard fruit, citrus and floral flavors. Ample and broad, with notable depth, the Brut is a pure and total delight.

Bright and full of energy and sizzles with tension. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and white pepper are all beautifully lifted. The Extra Brut really comes alive with a bit of time in the glass. It's a style that works so well at Moncuit.

85% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir Dosage: 7g/l Pierre Moncuit is famous for its Blanc de Blancs but it also produces an excellent Rosé. The grapes are from Le Mesnil (Chardonnay) and Ambonnay (Pinot Noir). The color is very light which is preferred by the family: “It's very easy to drink it in the afternoon instead of a cup of tea.“ says Nicole Moncuit and we agree! :) Nicola OCT23: Fine berries, mineral, elegant, very slightly dark note, which also makes it distinctive and somewhat full of character. Robert Moncuit Reserve Perpetuelle
100% Chardonnay Dosage: 3g/l Vinified in oak barrels With malolactic fermentation Robert Moncuit started the Réserve Perpétuelle, which is always replenished with wines from the new vintage, in 2006. This cuvée, which is created in a similar way to the Solera process, is also 100% Chardonnay from Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger. Malolactic fermentation is not stopped. Each year, about 40 percent is removed and bottled. The duration of yeast aging is about five years. The style is complex and elegant, very finely balanced with three grams of dosage. Brioche and lime blossoms, on the palate the Réserve Perpétuelle makes proper pressure, has mineral traction and a lot of charm. High level.

100% Chardonnay, Grand Cru About 10 years bottle aging Dosage: 3g/l Tasting Nicola FEB23: Straightforward with creamy generosity, fresh with hints of brioche (will intensify with increasing maturity), very fine, elegant and at the same time powerful and extremely harmonious, balanced. Strong, already gives a lot of pleasure. No wonder it has matured for about 10 years and comes from one of the most sought-after Grand Cru locations in Champagne: le Mesnil sur Oger. Nicola OCT23: Now opens up slowly and gets the beautifully ripe, nutty flavor. Very profound, rich in finesse, elegant, long nutty finish, great combination with the freshness of 2012. Awards: "Special wines of le Point" NOV 23: 19/20 Giuseppe Lauria Editor-in-Chief WEINWISSER APR23: Powerful bouquet with mineral and freshly baked brioche notes. The crystalline delicacy and precision beams you straight to Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Also very fine and elegant in the mouth, at the same time powerful and with a creamy texture, wonderfully harmonious and balanced. The 10 years of aging on the yeast come into their own here. Extremely stimulating. What a joy. Due to the high acidity typical of Le Mesnil, malolactic fermentation is carried out. The result is precise, linear wines that animate with their finesse-rich freshness and the clear fruit. 18/20-2029
