Labruyère Paradoxe Blanc de Noirs 2016 Brut Nature
100% Pinot Noir
Dosage 0g/l
From the plots: Les Champs Saint-Martin, L'Espérance
5 years of bottle aging
Nicola OCT24: Straightforward, berry fruit, dark fruit. Elegant, puristic, but profound aromas, very fine spiciness from the wood ageing, long nutty finish.
Tilman OCT24: Initially somewhat reductive and closed, but then opens up quickly. Slightly bitter, even more profound than Anthologie, structured, fresh, clear and mineral!
Fabio OCT24: Somewhat closed, with more air comes fine red fruitiness, citrus peel, chalky, straightness runs through, very complex, strong finish.
Giuseppe Lauria Chedredaktion Editor-in-Chief APR23: Beautiful, radiant rose gold. Characterful appearance with a wide-ranging bouquet with raspberries, red fruits tossed in butter, the finest butter pastries, all accompanied by saline undertones, a touch of Williams pear resonates. Powerful, masculine but with a lot of enamel. The mousseux is very juicy and gives the champagne an invigorating freshness and subtle tension right through to the long, tart, fresh finale. 18/20 –2030
Nicola MAI22: Strongly vibrant, long, nice wood influence, complex!
Paula Bosch SEP22: This single-varietal Pinot Noir was pressed white, given 5 years to mature in the bottle and bottled without dosage. The result is a very spicy, uncompromising, bone-dry Champagne with a salty note, a powerhouse with great character. If you are looking for a link to Burgundy in Champagne J.M. Labruyere, you have the best example with Paradoxe. Despite the tremendous richness in the mouth - a whole cello concerto takes place here - each sip remains in harmony and balance, without corners and edges, the fine, compact mousse caresses the palate. The animating acidity makes the Paradoxe an ideal food companion from caviar to langoustine, Breton turbot in Beurre Blanc with morels to a zabaglione with crepes and caramel ice cream. What distinguishes this champagne is its seasoning full of character.
Moritz OCT22: The beautiful rose gold is radiant in the glass. The paradox is characterized by an angular dark berry fruit. The mousseux is very juicy and gives the champagne a pleasant freshness. The finish is long and slightly tart, which gives the wine even more excitement.
